Ftl ships tier list. One of the best parts of ftl is the variety of ships you can play with. Each player ship can carry a maximum of eight crew members of various races with an initial crew of between one and four members. One of the beacons long ranged scanners will show a ship will have an encounter with a famous thiefs ship. Each ship starts with varying systems weapons power levels. Completing the game with rock ship also unlocks stealth cruiser. There is only one ship in this tier as it easily stands above every other ship in the game.
These ships come in a variety of layouts and can be equipped with various systems and subsystems weapons drones and augmentations. S tier great ships right out of the hangar can get ludicrously op once more equipment and crew is acquired. I havent sunk my teeth into it but ae discussion starts with captain teddys tier list here. However all ships were not created equal thus i have created a tier list of them based on their ability to beat the game on hard ranking them 1 28. I may attempt to add the new ships to the tier list after some derusting and playing the new ships however i am currently in college nearing finals and am also invested competitively in other games so no promises. Ive divided the 28 ships into five main tiers based around different levels of overall strength. Starting weapons can only be found aboard the ship that has them i include crystal weapons because getting to the crystal sector to buy them is an extremely rare and difficult.
Now this list is split into two starting weapons and store weapons. Since ftl is a game of rng you want to minimize any variance as much as possible.
